Monogram Stationery with Matching Tag

You will need these items to complete this tutorial.

  • PSP 7 - you can get a 30 day free trial at Jasc.com
  • Super Blade Pro - free 30-day trial at Flaming Pear.com
  • This download Monogram which contains 2 fonts, and your SBP preset.

    • Let's get started. Unzip the download in a folder by the same name. Put the SBP preset in your environments and textures folder. Unzip the 2 fonts, you can install them if you wish or you can just open then and minimize them on your desk top. (PSP will read them from there).

    Step 1. Open PSP and open a new image 500 x 500 transparent

    Step 2. Floodfill your 1st layer with #004040 - name this layer 'background'

    Step 3. Set your foreground and background to white - #FFFFFF

    Step 4. Click your text tool, select the "Arborial_Initials" font, size to 72 and 'floating' and type your Capital Letter, click ok.

    Step 5. Effects, Plugins, Flaming Pear, Super Blade Pro see the example below:



    - just in case you forgot! Apply m_goldensparkle.q5q. This preset works wonderfully on the white, giving you a nice clean sparkle gold. - Click OK.

    Step 6. Apply a drop shadow as show.



    Step 7. Go to your layer palette and right click and choose 'Promote to layer'. This will give you a separate layer for the cap to sit upon. Name this later Capital or the letter you have chosen.

    Step 8. Click your text tool ; change your font to Augusta Cancelaresca Schnurkl font, change the size to 48 and type the rest of your name. Click OK

    Step 9. Repeat Step 5 the SBP, Step 6 and Step 7. Name this layer name.
